Pam Behbahani knew long before her graduation from the Graham Webb International Academy of Hair in Arlington, Virginia, that she would open her own salon.
Her mantra would simply be "to do good work and treat people nicely," providing a warm, congenial atmosphere for her clients. Determined to extend her
concept to the salon's location and architecture, Pam chose a neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of the larger malls, and in May 2003, Good Hair Day Salon (GHDS) opened its doors. Local artist Armen Kankanian created a charming and convivial oasis within faux marble columns and trompe-l'oeil murals: Flower-filled gardens glimpsed through arched windows and winged cherubs fluttering overhead complete the perfect blend of the whimsical and understated elegance. |

Pam, still young for an entrepeneur, speaks the wisdom of age when she recognizes the intimacy that often forms between stylist and client, and insists that she and her staff uphold the sanctity of each relationship. "Listening" is as important to the overall experience for a client as are the extended education courses in which the entire staff participates. "We all take every class available," Pam stated, and according to her records, the classes cover every applicable subject: color, style, cut, and a thorough knowledge of quality products. Considering that the staff of Good Hair Day Salon already has a total of nearly 25 years experience, it is a combination that is hard to beat. Ultimately, Pam's plan is to utilize both education and experience to train others to become well-rounded stylists, tops in their field. |

Children receive special attention at Good Hair Day Salon and are welcome as client or guest; we just ask that you do not leave them unattended, and to be courteous to other guests and staff, cell phone usage should be kept to a minimum. Punctuality is a must in order to better serve you, and in the event you need to cancel an appointment, we request a 24-hour advance notification. |
